Team Member

We’re looking for an energetic person to join our
team in our Kilmarnock, VA Photography Studio & Lab. 

Yours Truly Photography is a fast-paced, family-owned studio & lab in Kilmarnock Virginia.  We provide a wide variety of professional photography for many schools, businesses, organizations and individuals throughout the Northern Neck, Middle Peninsula and beyond.  Our retail store and lab is where the community comes with their photo or video project needs.  All our photos are printed in-house by our close-knit team of photo professionals.  With flexible hours, late 10am openings and varied projects, Yours Truly Photography creates an interesting and unique work environment. 

As a Team Member, you will work with customers to receive photos for copying, restoration, printing, etc.  You will take phone calls and help with scheduling appointments.  You will use a variety of computers, software, equipment and tools to complete customers’ orders.  You will need to handle money and orders accurately.  Good communication with customers and other team members is imperative.  Occasionally, team members assist with photography sessions and events, many of our sessions are in the studio during business hours, however you may be asked to occasionally help with logistics at an event or school.

Responsibilities
• Maintain and elevate the company’s reputation with positive attitude and excellent customer service.
• Assist in the accurate completion of the studio and lab workflow.
• Assist customers with placing and receiving orders.
• Create appointments, invoices, and handle payment.
• Communicate with customers via phone, text, email and messaging platforms.
• Become familiar with printing technologies and the daily maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Help to maintain a clean and attractive workplace.
• Package and ship completed orders.
• Periodically assist with photography assignments in studio and on location.

Qualifications
• Must be highly organized and have prioritization, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Applicants should be detail oriented, responsible & punctual. Most orders have tight deadlines and many moving parts. Staying organized and ensuring jobs are done before deadline is imperative.
· Ability to multi-task. Team members are to be well versed in all aspects of daily operations from opening, order taking, printing, stocking, organizing, problem solving etc.
• Excellent communication skills.  All orders are tailor-made to the customer’s needs, thus being able to understand and communicate and assist in making decisions is a must.
• Strong computer skills.  Computer networking and/or Photoshop experience is a plus.
•Experience is retail, marketing, photography, computers or design is a plus.

• Position: Team Member
• Job Type: Part-Time
• Typical Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 10-5:15 with one weekday off, every other Saturday 10-2:15 Closed Sundays.
• Salary: $13 - $15 /Hour based on experience and qualifications.
• Minimum Education: High School Diploma
• Location: Kilmarnock, VA
